Who is Eligible for a Super Visa?

To be eligible for a Super Visa, your parent(s) or grandparent(s) must meet certain criteria, including:

  • You, the Canadian citizen or permanent resident, must meet minimum income requirements set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
  • You must provide a signed letter of invitation guaranteeing financial support for their stay.
  • Your parents/grandparents must have private medical insurance valid in Canada for the entire duration of their stay.

Additional Considerations:

  • Spouses and Common-Law Partners: You can also include your parents’/grandparents’ spouses or common-law partners in your Super Visa application.
  • Biometric Information: Providing fingerprints and a photograph is usually required.
  • Medical Examination: For super visa upfront medical examination is required from an authorized panel physician.
